Can Egypt overtake South Africa as Africa's richest country?

I have been in South Africa and I have lived there for 4 years. I hear from many South Africans, especially Rendier who makes videos on Youtube that RSA(South Africa) is becoming like Zimbabwe. There are farm killings in the country and no one talks about it. Zuma has been involved in so many crimes, but the case against him has dropped. I heard that he only has a standard 3 education (grade 5) how can you lead a country if you have a grade 5 education ?
