Electoral College AND the US House Tied?

2008 may be the year we finally see 269-269. Let's say this happens, and for whatever reason, the 2008 House Elections yields an even number of delegations for the Democrats and Republicans. Under this scenario, what type of deal(s) do you think would be made since it would appear deadlocked? And would it get so bad that the Senate choosing the VP (since no tie is possible there) that the VP candidate would become President?? A political junkie's dream.
